This week's Moment of Truth: Romans 12:9 (NIV) — "Abhor what is evil. Hold fast to what is good."
On June 6, 1944, an estimated 160,000 soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy. There were no bystanders. Everyone on this planet had a vested interest in the outcome. The fate of humanity hung in the balance.
The same is true today.
You cannot appease evil. Neville Chamberlain tried it with Hitler for three years while the world turned a blind eye — and 6 million of God's chosen people paid the price. Burying your head in the sand is not an option when evil is stealing the future of your children, corrupting your culture, and silencing your church.
Here is what you also need to know: evil is always worse than you think it is. What you see is only a shadow of the darkness that pervades this world. And as we stay silent, it gets darker still.
There are no bystanders in the clash between good and evil. Not in 1944. Not now. You have a unique place to serve on this spiritual battlefield. The only question is whether you will show up.
